In an ongoing effort to source and shop more ethically this summer, I recently had the pleasure of connecting with an incredibly fashion-forward, yet environmentally-conscious retailer, Synergy Organic Clothing.
Always striving to be mindful and conscious in every facet of their business, Synergy produces sustainable and organic fair trade clothing that treads lightly on our planet, yet radiates an effortless, sharp and smart style in each piece.
The best part? There are some seriously versatile tops, bottoms, outerwear, accessories and even yoga pieces to fill your closet with. And every piece lends itself incredibly well to changing up your look with the assistance of some classic and simple accessories.
From desk to dinner, here are two of my favorite pieces from the Synergy collection.
For the Office: The Raven Dress
Let’s first talk about quality … this dress is without-a-doubt, one that will eventually find its way into my 30 Wears challenge. It’s made of 100% organic cotton and self lined, so the dress feels incredibly soft to the skin.
And contrasting color blocked panels draw any prying eyes to all the right places (aka the smallest part of your waist). An exposed zipper also creates another visually interesting element from behind.
I also adore the taupe + navy coloring and the almost late 80’s gothic vibe that I see from the coloring in this dress.
For Dates and Drinks: The Rylan Dress
You can wrap this baby around me any day of the week (see what I did there?). The fit and motif on this dress exude a relaxed western vibe, but the shawl collar and long sleeves maintain a sense of class and modernism.
The color is simply divine, and the triangle stitch appliqué is hand-sewn by women in Nepal who earn a living wage and are able to take their work home with them.
Besides beauty, both of these dresses work hard for their wearer. Because of the quality materials used to produce each Synergy garment, and the time + care that goes into their production standards, each piece will last longer … which means fewer items in your closet and less impact on our planet. #WinWin
